Vikramaditya Singh, a senior Congress veteran’s son, has resigned from the party.

Senior Congress leader Karan Singh`s son Vikramaditya Singh tendered his resignation from the Indian National Congress on Tuesday stating that the party is unable to realize and reflect the sentiments and aspirations of people in Jammu & Kashmir.

The party’s position on critical issues in J&K, which reflect the interests of the nation, does not align with that of Congress. This tweet from Singh appears to be a statement about how the party still cannot get along with members of Congress who are committed to national interests.

In his resignation letter, Indian National Congress (INC) president and general secretary Jyotiraditya Scindia wrote that he was “ashamed of the INC’s inability to realize and reflect the sentiments and aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.” He added that it was his belief that “the INC is unable to realize its vision for a united India.”
