Gautam Adani, founder and chairman of the Adani Group, will receive the USIBC 2022 Global Leadership Award from the US Chamber of Commerce’s US India Business Council.
In a statement, USIBC said Adani will receive the Global Leadership Award at the India Ideas Summit on September 7.
Since 2007, the Global Leadership Award has recognized top corporate executives from India and the US who have demonstrated a strong commitment to strengthening the US-India partnership.
A number of previous recipients of this award have included Jeff Bezos, the founder, CEO, and chairman of Amazon; Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google; Adena Friedman, the Nasdaq CEO and president; Fred Smith, the founder of FedEx; and Uday Kotak, the CEO of Kotak Mahindra.
On September 7, the US-India Business Council will hold its India Ideas Summit. In addition to Jaishankar, Sitharaman and Granholm, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will attend this year’s summit.
