Tiktok and Youtube influencers can now be sued for misleading their followers or giving them wrong information about products reviews. It’s job of social media influencers to flaunt a variety of brands and other things they purchase.
Their followers usually believe in their feedbacks . However, many of the influencers are just lying to their followers and subscribers about products to earn big bucks through the paid endorsements.
Under Consumer Protection act, 2019 now users can easily sue the influencers for up to Rs 10 lakh if they find the reviews misleading.
