A 21-year-old case has been convicted

A 21-year-old case that was registered on June 19, 2001 was decided by the MP-MLA court. People blocked the road and staged a massive protest against Rajnath Singh’s BJP government in Uttar Pradesh, according to the police. There was a protest in Sultanpur city against regular power cuts and improper water supply.

According to government counsel Vaibhav Pandey, the police filed a case against Sanjay Singh, Anoop Sanda, Vijay Kumar, Kamal Srivastava, Santosh Kumar and Subhash for blocking the road and demonstrating.

When the judgment was handed down, Singh was present

As the judgment was being read, Singh blamed the then BJP government for mismanaging the otherwise peaceful protest. The high court will hear his appeal against the sentence.
