Rahul Gandhi must be commended for undertaking the Bharat Jodo Yatra, according to Champat Rai, Secretary of Ram Mandir Trust.
Gandhi’s comments came after Ram Janmabhoomi temple chief priest Acharya Satyendra Das “blessed” him for the Yatra on Tuesday.
In response to this, Rai stated, “I appreciate the young man walking on foot in the country. There is nothing wrong with that.”.
In response to a question from reporters about the Yatra which entered Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday, he said, “I am a RSS worker and the RSS has never condemned the Bharat Jodo Yatra.”
He said, “I must say that everyone should do Yatra in the country, even in this harsh weather.”.
Bharat Jodo Yatra was also hailed by Govind Dev Giri, another senior trustee of Ram Mandir Trust.
Taking into account the Bharat Jodo slogan and India’s need to unite, he prayed to Lord Rama that the nation would remain united, strong and harmonious.
