The Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw is expected to take the lead on 6G in a speech at Delhi’s Pragati Maidan the day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched 5G services.

India will take the lead in 6G, according to Vaishnaw.

The Prime Minister stated weeks before the launch of 5G services that the Centre would launch 6G within the next decade.

Video conferencing was used to make the announcement during the Grand Finale of the Smart India Hackathon 2022.

With the latest 5G network, users will be able to access faster internet speeds, but the government will also be able to manage disasters and handle agriculture in a more efficient manner.

Mukesh Ambani, the Chairman of Reliance Industries, said Jio will provide “the highest quality and most affordable rates in the world.” Jio will offer 5G to every corner of India by December 2023. In 8 cities, Airtel will launch 5G today. However, the company confirmed that Mumbai, Delhi, Varanasi, and Bangalore will all receive 5G today. The 5G rollout will also begin soon at Vodafone Idea.
