An All-Women City Store was launched by Volkswagen Passenger Cars India in the Tamil Nadu city of Coimbatore on Tuesday.
Through this initiative, the German auto giant aims to promote women-talent within the automotive industry and promote ‘diversity, equity and inclusivity’ across the organization.
According to the brand, since the number of female customers in the country is rapidly increasing, the brand has developed a female-centric approach in order to provide an ‘exclusive and confident environment’ specifically for women customers. Moreover, VW hopes through this that more women professionals will join and grow in the Indian car retail sector. Ramani Cars Pvt. Ltd. has collaborated with the company. LTD. for this new initiative aimed at upskilling women employees for leadership roles.

In establishing an All Women City Store in Coimbatore, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India intends to promote diversity, equity and inclusivity across the organization by championing women talent in the automotive workforce.
Ramani Cars Pvt Ltd will run the newly launched facility, which will be run by a 35+ woman workforce managing sales, after-sales, customer care services, test drive management, housekeeping, security, etc. Avinashi Rd, Sri Hari Building, Nava India, Coimbatore is the newly opened facility. A total of four cars are displayed, including Volkswagen Taigun, Virtus, and Tiguan.
Having 35+ women in leadership positions plays a significant role in building the industry’s future, and Gupta is confident that their efforts will propel the automotive retail industry forward.
