In Manila, Philippines, a 43-year-old Kabaddi coach from Punjab’s Moga was killed.
Gurpreet Singh Gindru had gone to Philippines to earn a living about four years ago, according to the residents of Moga district’s Pakharwad village.
An unidentified assailant allegedly shot Gindru in the head. He was shot dead after returning home from work by the men who barged into his home.
His wife and son were living in the Philippines when Gindru migrated to Canada earlier in the year. A few years ago, he returned to Manila.
Pakharwad is a village in Moga where he lives with his parents and brothers.
According to a police statement released to the local media, neither the attackers nor the reason for Gurpreet’s death had been determined.
