In an effort to help advance innovation and spur the growth of startups across Karnataka, Google and the state government signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Thursday.
Through a partnership with the Karnataka Innovation and Technology Society (KITS), Google will provide essential training, access to partners, expertise on Google’s tools and technologies to women-led founders and startups in tier-2 and tier-3 cities. In addition to knowledge and mentorship sessions in Cloud, User Experience, Android, Web, Product Strategy, Leadership, and Marketing, Google said.
Youth and job-seekers in digital skills such as IT support, project management, data analytics would also be offered scholarships for Google career certificates. The ‘Be Internet Awesome’ program will also support local schools in promoting online safety and digital citizenship among children.
