Chandigarh, Feb 14 (P2P) : Prominent farmer leader, Chandigarh State President of All India Jatt Mahasabha and National Delegate of Mahasabha Rajinder Singh Badheri has said that the present President of Punjab Congress Sunil Jakhar has not been able to keep all the factions united; So now a Jatt Sikh leader should be made the president of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee. During a meeting with Harish Rawat, former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand in charge of Punjab Congress affairs, Badheri also welcomed the appointment of Subhash Chawla as the President of Chandigarh Territorial Congress.

In his statement Badheri said that only a Jatt Sikh leader in Punjab could compete with the leaders of Shiromani Akali Dal and its Badal family and Aam Aadmi Party. All other parties have taken special care of this. That is why the Congress should immediately consider the name of a senior leader.
