The craze for Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, also known as Sidhu Moosewala, continues months after his murder, with kites with his pictures selling for between Rs 20 and Rs 50 each during Basant Panchami.
The singer’s photos are also being worn on T-shirts on Jan. 26 by many youths, while others plan to play only his songs.
A number of youths said this year most of them wanted to see the pictures of the singer flying kites in the sky to make the Basant Panchmi celebrations more memorable.
Additionally, many people are asking their friends and relatives to use kites only with Moosewala’s photos.
Our family has purchased 200 kites, of which 175 have pictures of Moosewala. In addition to motivating our friends, Angad Singh also inspired them to fly the maximum number of kites.
According to some shopkeepers, singer-themed kites were in high demand. Kites of this type were even popular among young people.
On January 26, many youngsters plan to wear T-shirts with his photographs, while others will play their favorite songs.
