In order to uncover the conspiracy of gangster Deepak Tinu’s escape from police custody in Mansa, the Director General of Police (DGP), Gaurav Yadav, constituted a four-member special investigation team (SIT).
AIG Opinderjit Singh, DSP Bikramjeet Singh Brar, and Mansa SSP Gaurav Toora are the three members of the SIT, headed by Patiala Range IG MS Chhina. SIT can also co-opt other officers from Bathinda and Patiala ranges for additional support, while the SHO of Mansa City-1 police station shall offer full assistance to it.
According to the DGP, the SIT had been ordered to conclude its investigation quickly
Pritpal Singh’s official residence was searched again by Mansa police today in the presence of the DSP and the executive magistrate-cum-naib tehsildar. His house was raided and three weapons were seized, including two pistols and a revolver.
Pritpal’s cook was also interrogated by the police. A forensic examination will also be conducted on Pritpal’s two mobile phones.
According to sources, Pritpal provided Tinu in CIA custody with a mobile phone, which he used to plan his escape the day before Saturday.
Balkour Singh and Charan Kaur, Sidhu Moosewala’s parents, have questioned the police’s workings today. Mansa police are unreliable, so a probe into the matter should be conducted by a police department in another district. According to Charan, the CIA in-charge should be interrogated by the police of another district since he has been irresponsible.
Earlier, we doubted that these gangsters were receiving VIP treatment in jails or police custody, but now we know otherwise.
Pritpal took Tinu from the CIA office on Saturday night with a white Brezza car that the Mansa police impounded.
SSP Toora confirmed the development, saying, “Sections under the Arms Act have been added to the FIR.”
