The police are still groping in the dark and have not been able to track Deepak Tinu two days after he escaped from the custody of the Mansa CIA team.

Tinu was left alone to meet his girlfriend in a room in Pritpal Singh’s official residence in a posh area of Mansa around 11pm on Saturday after Pritpal Singh took him alone in his private car from the Mansa CIA office to his official residence. Tinu and his friend escaped from the spot while Pritpal Singh went to sleep in another room. Despite this, senior police officials remain tight-lipped and have not confirmed the report.

CCTV footage was examined by police today to find out what happened. Pritpal Singh’s residence was also searched.

Many senior district administration officials live in a posh area in Mansa where he lives. Security and policing in this area have been questioned in light of the gangster’s escape.

In response to a request from the Punjab Police, a lookout circular has been issued against Tinu, which prevents him from leaving the country. Additionally, police teams are tracking Tinu near the Nepal border as well as in Punjab, Haryana, and Rajasthan. Fatehabad in Haryana was also raided today by the police.

Meanwhile, Pritpal Singh, who was arrested and dismissed from service, was brought before the district court today, where he was remanded in police custody until October 7.
Pritpal Singh was interrogated by IGP (Bathinda Range) MS Chinna and Mansa SSP Gaurav Toora in the evening.
