The case of Pakistani national Seema Ghulam Haider has raised concerns and attracted the attention of Indian authorities due to her illegal entry into India via Nepal to be with her partner Sachin Meena, whom she allegedly met through the online game PUBG.
The Uttar Pradesh Police’s Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) has been questioning both Seema Haider and Sachin Meena for extensive periods to determine the intention behind her illegal entry into India. The matter is being taken seriously as it involves two nations, and authorities are cautious in making any conclusions until sufficient evidence is obtained.
During the questioning, Haider reportedly failed to provide clear answers about her intentions and reasons for crossing the border illegally. The Intelligence Bureau officials were present during the questioning, and the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), the central force guarding the Indo-Nepal border in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, has been asked to submit a report by the IB.
Seema Haider claims to have met Sachin Meena through the popular online game PUBG, and their relationship developed into love through private conversations. According to their accounts, they met in Nepal and got married in March of the same year. A couple of months later, Haider and her four children allegedly escaped from Pakistan through Dubai and Nepal to reach Greater Noida, India.
Authorities are also investigating Haider’s background and claims regarding her relatives in Pakistan, including her uncle and brother’s alleged association with the Pakistan Army. Haider denies these claims, asserting that her brother was only preparing to join the army.
The possibility of Haider being an agent of Pakistan’s Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) is being probed by Indian authorities. However, no conclusive statements have been made yet, and the investigation is ongoing to determine her true intentions and any potential connections to intelligence agencies.
