An airport meeting was held to enforce Covid restrictions and prepare for medical tests at Sri Guru Ram Das Jee International (SGRDJI). At the airport, thermal screening and passenger sampling are both available.
SGRDJI airport is managed by the Airports Authority of India (AAI), which reports that the facility handles between 2,500 and 3,000 international passengers per day.
The Civil Surgeon, Dr Charanjit Singh, said they were prepared to monitor all kinds of Covid tests at the airport. In accordance with instructions, all suspected and indoor patients are now required to undergo RT-PCR tests. The hospital has directed all health staff to wear masks while on site.
