Rakhi Vijan, known for her stint as Sweety in Hum Paanch, has been in the news for a while now since reports claim that she will be taking over the role of Dayaben in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. In a recent interview, she spoke openly about finding love again and her marriage plans, despite denying reports that she would be a part of the show.
Rakhi had tied the know to Raveena Tandon’s brother Rajiv Tandon, however, the two ended their decade long marriage in 2010. In a recent interview with ETimes TV, she spoke about dating Fareed Karachiwalla. A builder by profession, Rakhi revealed that she has been dating him for 7 years.
She revealed, “A common friend introduced us. Both he and I have a past. We decided that we’ll go with the flow and decide later if we want to get married. Now, we have decided to marry. In fact, we were supposed to marry last year but my dad passed away. So yeah, we are going to marry soon.”
Further, she also spoke about wedding plans, and said that since they couldn’t marry last year, they are thinking of December 2022, however, the month is not fixed yet. She added that they are waiting for a year to go by post her father’s demise and will plan accordingly.
About Fareed, she further added how she is blessed to have such a great human being in her life, especially after the fact that her life had become so messy. She also spoke about how post marriage, she will be shuttling between Mumbai and Pune, and both of them spend time in each other’s cities.
Among other things, she also revealed how Priti Sinha, who is currently producing web shows, has promised her a role that would erase her comedy image and well, fans might want to see how that turns out, if not Dayaben!
