Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Raghav Chadha’s remark about ‘tribal affairs punishment posting’ during an interview did not sit well with the opposition.
Raghav Chadha’s remarks that ‘AAP is full of little fascists and racists’ were condemned by BJP leaders.
Raghav Chadha, a Rajya Sabha member of the AAP, called for the transfer of government officers not performing well in tribal affairs as punishment since they cannot be fired. “You cannot fire a government official. You can only transfer them. If someone is doing a bad job, you can send them to tribal affairs as punishment,” said the AAP leader.
In addition, the AAP leader attempted to ‘damage control’ by saying it could have been animal husbandry or horticulture instead of tribal affairs.’
AAP leader’s comments received harsh reactions on social media when the video went viral.
According to Abhinav Prakash, the national vice-president of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), AAP is full of fascists and racists.
It’s a grave threat to democracy, Abhinav Prakash wrote in a tweet: “So tribal affairs are equivalent to horticulture and animal husbandry according to Raghav Chadha?”
