Punjab: Boy shot dead 2 girls in Moga

Moga, March 19 (P2P):

A young man in a car opened fire on two Sikh sisters on Nihal Singh Wala-Baghapurana Defence Road at Manunke Gill village in Moga last night. One sister died last night, while another died today morning. The killer is the son of the village sarpanch. The youth escaped after carrying out the incident and was arrested by the police. DSP Parsan Singh and Police Station Chief Inspector Gurpreet Singh Saran Nihalwala arrested the accused and rushed to the spot. Police are not giving reasons. These incidents have shaken the entire Moga district. Questions are also being raised as to where the weapon came from.

As the condition of both the girls were critical, doctors had earlier referred them to Faridkot where they succumbed to their injuries. Both the girls and the attacker are said to be residents of Sekha Kalan village under Baghapurana police station. Police said the matter was being investigated and it was too early to say.
