In less than 12 hours, Samsung India has registered more than 50,000 pre-orders for Galaxy Fold 4 and Galaxy Flip 4, according to Raju Pullan, Senior Vice President and Head of MX sales.
On August 16, pre-bookings for foldables opened to record numbers.
Samsung plans to sell 1.5 times more foldable phones this year. The new foldable phones come with huge upgrades from last year, according to Pullan.
The company’s strategy to expand the foldable experience in India contributed to the huge pre-book success. With the Fold 4 and Flip 4, Samsung has expanded its retail network to over 10,000 cities, including tier 2 towns. According to Pullan, this is double the number of retail outlets last year.
In India, Samsung has also provided over 12,000 demo units of its Fold 4 and Flip 4 devices to ensure that consumers get a great experience with these devices before making a purchase decision. Featuring a Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 processor and a flagship 50MP camera, the Fold4 is the ultimate pocket PC for young consumers seeking to express themselves.” said Pullan.
