New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will today interact with personnel from army, paramilitary forces and local administration who were involved in rescue operations after a ropeway accident in Deoghar of Jharkhand.
“At 8 pm today, PM Narendra Modi will interact with personnel of IAF, Indian Army, NDRF, ITBP, local administration and civil society who were involved with rescue operations at Deoghar,” the prime minister’s office (PMO) posted on Twitter.The accident happened on Sunday when a ropeway malfunctioned that resulted in trolleys colliding. Due to this, over 60 tourists were trapped in cable cars midway for nearly two days at Trikut Hills, about 20 km from the famous Baba Baidyanath temple in Deoghar. After hours-long operation conducted by personnel of the Indian Air Force, Army, ITBP, NDRF and the district administration, the tourists were evacuated but three persons died.
