Navjot Sidhu resigns from the Punjab Congress President

Chandigarh, Sep 28 ( P2P ): Punjab Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu has resigned from his post. In a letter written today to party Sonia Gandhi, he has expressed his disappointment. He wrote that

The collapse of a man’s character stems from the compromise corner. I can never compromise on Punjab’s future and the agenda for the welfare of Punjab. Therefore, I hereby resign as the President of Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee. I will continue to serve the Congress,” Sidhu wrote in his resignation letter.

It is believed that he was not heard in the formation of the Punjab cabinet and the appointment of officers and the Congress High Command kept all the matters of Punjab in its own hands.
