She has been tasked with raising awareness about the importance of cleaning up Mumbai’s beaches as a vocal ocean conservationist. In the past, Parineeti posted videos of her clearing plastic waste underwater to raise awareness about ocean pollution.
The video she posted states, “I wish you all a very very happy Ganeshotsav and hope that Ganpati Bappa blesses us with wisdom and prosperity. As we celebrate this beautiful auspicious festival, we tend to forget what happens after the festivities are over.”
In addition, she adds, “We leave enormous amounts of trash on our beaches during Ganpati Visarjan, which ends up in the water each year. In addition to polluting the sea, this can also cause extensive damage to marine animals, which can result in mass deaths. It is important for us to celebrate this festival with vigor, but also to clean up with the same energy and protect our marine life as well as our earth.”
As a part of this cause, she has partnered with the Divyaj foundation and the Bhamla foundation, and she urges people to join her. It will be a grand success if we can make Cleanotsav 2022 a grand success on the 10th of September 2022 by cleaning up our beaches and making them debris free. I am sure Bappa would be really pleased if that happened.
