A new Motorola flagship is in the works and will launch in July this year.
Motorola Frontier, the company’s upcoming flagship smartphone, has been rumored for months.
Now, Motorola has confirmed that a flagship device is indeed in the works and will launch soon. Motorola has revealed the launch timeline and a few features of the device.
It has been teased on Weibo that Motorola’s new flagship will arrive in July, featuring a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. Also confirmed by the company is a 200-megapixel camera. Motorola may launch this upcoming smartphone in China as the Motorola Edge X30 Pro and in other markets as the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra.
Motorola is expected to release the Edge 30 Ultra as their high-end flagship device, which will feature a 6.73-inch FHD+ 144Hz pOLED screen, 60-megapixel front camera, and a triple rear camera setup including 200-megapixels (main) + 50-megapixels (ultrawide) and 12-megapixels (telephoto).
According to some reports, the device will come with a 5,000mAh battery with 68W fast charging support, and up to 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage, and a 4,500mAh battery. Other information about the smartphone is not known as of yet.
