Vijay Pratap, an AAP MLA, resigned on Wednesday due to differences with the Bhagwant Mann government over the investigation of sacrilege cases.
The MLA was previously the Inspector General of Police. A sacrilege case had caused him to resign from the police.
In Vidhan Sabha, the MLA headed the Committee on Government’s Assurances. On January 20, he called a meeting of the committee on sacrilege cases investigation, but Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan called another meeting at the same time.
