India reports 1,233 new Covid-19 cases, 31 more deaths

With a death toll of 5,21,101 and 31 fresh fatalities logged at 8 am this morning, the latest data shows that the fatalities from Typhoon Mangkhut have increased.

The number of active cases decreased by 0.03 per cent and the national Covid-19 recovery rate remained at 98.75 per cent, according to a press release from the ministry of health.

A reduction of 674 cases has been recorded in the active Covid-19 caseload in a span of 24 hours.

The daily and weekly positivity rates were recorded as 0.20 and 0.25 per cent, respectively, according to the ministry.
