Aamir Khan, brother of actor-filmmaker Faisal Khan, has been accused of keeping him under “house arrest” at their family home.

According to Faisal, he was “kidnapped” by Aamir and caged inside his house after allegedly being diagnosed with Schizophrenia. In his statement, the filmmaker explained why he refused to participate in Bigg Boss, saying it would be like being confined like he has already been confined in the past.

Aamir has been accused by Faisal before. Aamir Khan and other family members have spread speculative and inflammatory statements suggesting the filmmaker is ill, which he denied in 2008 to Hindustan Times.

It was in fact a kidnapping. I was under house arrest and was given drugs that I didn’t want. I was declared healthy by Judge Saab on judgment day, meaning I’m normal and can handle my life independently. “Treat me like a normal person.”

Recently, Faisal revealed to TOI that he and Aamir share a cordial relationship. Of course, we are on speaking terms. I meet him occasionally, but he is so busy with his life and I am struggling with mine.”

“There’s no harm in apologising and correcting yourself,” Aamir said when asked about his recent apology on social media ahead of the release of Laal Singh Chaddha. In the end, you become a better person. He should have apologized immediately after that thing came out, not at the time of his film’s release. That seems opportunistic to me.”
