An accused has been charged with a supplementary chargesheet in relation to a conspiracy last year between Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF) terrorists and Hindu priests in Punjab’s Jalandhar.

After taking over the investigation of the case on October 8, last year, Gagandeep Singh alias Gaggu of Meerut in Uttar Pradesh was charged by the NIA in a special court in Punjab.

Hardeep Singh Nijjar, the Canada-based head of KTF, Arshdeep Singh alias Prabh, Kamaljeet Sharma, and Ram Singh alias Sona were the four accused, now facing charges.

For information leading to Nijjar’s arrest, the NIA had announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh on July 22.

During investigations, it has been discovered that Nijjar and Arshdeep, who both reside in Canada, hatched the entire conspiracy in order to disturb peace and disrupt communal harmony (in Punjab).

NIA spokesperson says members of terror gang used weapons supplied by accused Gagandeep on Arshdeep’s orders to carry out the attack on the target.
On January 31, last year, Kamaldeep Sharma, a priest from Jalandhar, was shot and seriously injured.
