The state public health department reported that a 7-year-old girl in an Ashramshala at Talasari, Palghar district was infected with Zika.
This is the second incident, according to the department
There has been a report of a case in the state.
The Maharashtra public health department said, “According to the latest report from
Seven-year-old girl in Ashramshala at Jhai (Block:
A Zika virus infection was detected in Talasari.”
According to the report, the first patient was found in Pune in July 2021. Therefore, preventive and control measures are being taken in terms of surveillance, vector management, treatment, and health education.”
Aedes aegypti mosquito bites spread the Zika virus, which results in fever, body aches, and conjunctivitis.
