Poonwala reportedly confessed to throwing Shraddha’s severed body in Mehruali forest and her mobile in Mumbai waters.
According to reports, Aftab Amin Poonawala, accused of killing his live-in partner Shraddha Walkar, confessed to dismembering her body using a Chinese weapon during a narcoanalysis test.
According to sources close to a news channel, he confessed to chop off Shraddha’s body with a Chinese knife (cleaver) and throw the weapon in the bushes near his office in Gurugram. In addition, he told the cops that he dumped her severed head in Mehrauli forest. According to another report, he cut her hands first.
According to the accused, Shraddha’s mobile was thrown in the waters of Mumbai coast, but it has not yet been recovered.
Meanwhile, the narco and polygraph tests have revealed similar responses from the accused. “Our teams involved in the investigation found he gave similar responses to both tests during the preliminary examination, so it does not add any new twist to the story,” sources said.
During the narco test, Aftab says Shraddha was killed in a fit of rage
Earlier, the accused claimed he had cut her body into 35 pieces. To avoid attracting unwanted attention from the people, he dumped the body piece by piece in the jungle for 18 days, usually after 2 am.
There are blood stains in Aftab Amin Poonawala’s kitchen, and blood samples have been sent for examination to determine whose blood it is. About 10-13 bones have been recovered from a forest in the Chhattarpur area and sent to the forensic lab for identification. In order to match the dumped body parts and blood sample, a DNA sample of her father Vikas Walker has been taken.
