Near Damdama Lake in Sohna, the Department of Town and Country Planning (DTCP) sealed three farmhouses, including one belonging to noted Punjabi singer Daler Mehndi.

On Tuesday, three farmhouses were sealed as per orders of the National Green Tribunal (NGT) in Sonya Gosh vs State of Haryana case.

The sealing drive was conducted in the presence of duty magistrate Lachhiram, Naib Tehsildar, Sohna, as well as Assistant Town Planners (AST) Sumeet Malik, Dinesh Singh, Rohan and Shubham. Along with the team, a police team from Sohna Sadar police station was deployed.

According to District Town Planner (DTP) Amit Madholia, these were unauthorised farmhouses built without permission in the reservoir area of the lake.

Upon requesting anonymity, a senior department officer confirmed that one of the three farmhouses belonged to Daler Mehndi.
