Gautam Navlakha, who had been held at the Taloja jail in Navi Mumbai, was ordered under house arrest by the Supreme Court on Friday.

Navlakha is being held on charges related to an Elgar Parishad-Maoist link.

Navlakha was placed under house arrest on November 10 by the Supreme Court based on his links to Maoists and the Pakistani ISI. The anti-terror probe agency had sought its recall.

It was ordered, however, that some additional security measures be in place at the location where Navlakha will be kept by Justices KM Joseph and Hrishikesh Roy.
