Local police arrested a man after receiving repeated complaints about the habitual offender for selling fake educational certificates.

It was reported on Tuesday that Commissioner of Police Rachakonda invoked the PD Act against one habitual fake document offender as part of an ongoing campaign against repeat offenders who have been indulging in financial frauds and collecting huge sums from the public under various pretexts. He was detained in Central Prison, Cherlapally on Tuesday.

Kaleemuddin and Mohammed Feroz, along with the accused, devised a scheme to prepare fake educational certificates and sell them to needy people after receiving large sums of money.

Further, the police reported that initially, the accused identified candidates who failed their examinations and convinced them that the fake certificates could be used to get jobs or promotions, leading to the production and sale of fake educational certificates from a variety of colleges, schools, and universities and the amassing of large sums.

In Cherlapally jail, Muqtar Ahmed is being held.
