Unidentified people are alleged to have hacked to death Sandeep, son of a BJP leader, on Tuesday night in Samastipur, Bihar.
A stab wound left him dead as he was about to attend Durga Puja celebrations.
In Samastipur, Sandeep hails from the Hajpurwa region, where his father is a leading BJP figure.
Sandeep’s family tried contacting him initially, but his phone was unreachable. Despite their best efforts, they were unable to locate him at night.
Sandeep’s body was covered in blood when bystanders informed the police. A post-mortem will be conducted soon after the body was recovered by the police.
There is no information about the motive behind the alleged murder. The matter is being investigated further.
