
The Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala’s killer, Deepak Tinu, a close aide to jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, escaped from the Crime Investigation Agency (CIA), Mansa, according to official sources.
Tinu was charged in the murder case of Moosewala. On Saturday, around 11 p.m., he managed to escape CIA custody when he was taken from Goindwal Sahib jail by the police in another case.
The Punjabi singer’s murder case involves both Tinu and gangster Sampat Nehra, both close aides of Bishnoi.
A team from the Anti-Gangster Task Force headed by AIG Gurmeet Chauhan has been rushed to Mansa, DGP Gaurav Yadav said.
Haryana and Rajasthan police have been alerted. The police raided a possible hideout in Sirsa, Haryana, on Sunday, according to sources.
