The Sidhu Moosewala killing mastermind Goldy Brar resurfaced and claimed he was not detained or in custody three days after Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann confirmed his detention in the US.

In an interview with a YouTube journalist, Brar claimed that the US police had not detained him.

The P2P, however, could not independently verify the authenticity of the voice in the video.

Mann’s detention claim was incorrect, he said. According to him, he is not even in the country.

Mann had told the Gujarat media that Brar was being held in the US, an embarrassment for him.

Reporters were also told to stay tuned for Mann’s press conference on the arrest of Brar by the media team of the CM, including IAS officers in Punjab.

The Punjab CM’s claim comes as another setback for the state police regarding the Moosewala case, even though it is the Indian government and the central agencies responsible for dealing with cases of wanted Indian criminals abroad.

Most of the shooters involved in the killing had already been arrested by the Delhi Special Cell police. A Punjab Police sub-inspector helped Deepak Tina escape from Mansa police custody.

The US authorities detained the gangster in California on December 2.

SAD leader Bikram Majithia alleged on Sunday that Mann lied about Brar’s detention.

Anmol Gagan Maan, state tourism minister, had claimed that Brar would be brought back to India soon.

On May 29, Brar allegedly conspired with gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and others to murder Sidhu Moosewala.
