Four students involved in a hoax bomb threat to a school: police

As a result of threats posted on social media on Wednesday evening regarding firing and bomb explosion, panic gripped the holy city, sending the police into a tizzy. Almost immediately, the school was transformed into a fortress with anti-sabotage and SWAT teams and huge police posses on site.

Despite the police’s efforts to search the school complex with sniffer dogs late at night, nothing was found. As a result of the hoax, there was a low presence at the school on Thursday.

While the police were conducting a preliminary investigation, they determined that four school students were responsible for the “mischief.” They were identified and being questioned. Due to their juvenile status, the police notified their families and school management.

Dr Pallavi Sethi, the school principal, said the school authorities immediately alerted the police after seeing the social media post. The principal said strict punishment would be handed out to the mischievous students so that they would serve as a lesson to other students.
