Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah has reacted to “The Kashmir Files”, saying an honest probe will help identify the culprits.

Farooq Abdullah, former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister, said that an honest investigation should be held to find out the culprits. The movie is based on a time when Kashmiri Pandits were forced to leave the valley in 1990 due to anti-Pandit policies and violence. Former Governor Jagmohan was there when this happened – he would have told us if it wasn’t true!

This is the reason I want this case to be investigated. Every film portrays the story in a unique way and it’s important that they portray exact truth,” National Conference (NC) Chief said.

“If you really want it investigated, then launch a probe. An investigation will help pinpoint the culprits and why such an incident took place,” said Abdullah. Released last week, “The Kashmir Files” stars Anupam Kher along with Mithun Chakraborty and Pallavi Joshi in lead roles.” The film is written by Agnihotri and produced by Zee Studios – most BJP-ruled states have declared the movie tax-free as well.
