As part of the #MeToo movement, Delhi Commission for Women chief Swati Maliwal has demanded the removal of filmmaker Sajid Khan from reality show Bigg Boss based on allegations of sexual harassment leveled against him by several women.
October 1 marked the premiere of the 16th season of Bigg Boss.
While the #MeToo movement was underway, ten women accused Sajid Khan of sexual harassment. These complaints show the disgusting mentality of Sajid. He has now been given a spot on Bigg Boss, which is wrong. Maliwal tweeted in Hindi on Monday that he had written to @ianuragthakur to have Sajid Khan removed from the show.
In 2018, the Indian Film and Television Directors’ Association (IFTDA) suspended Sajid Khan for a year for sexual harassment.
Farhad Samji replaced him as director of “Houseful 4” earlier that year.
