On May 29, Punjab’s Mansa district was the scene of the daylight murder of Sidhu Moose Wala. Some names have surfaced for their alleged involvement. The 28-year-old singer-politician was either killed or had crucial details about the plan, according to top intelligence sources, highlighting gang wars.
Bhola from Hisar (Haryana), Satender Kala, Sonu Kajal and Bittu from Narnaud (Haryana), Ajay Gill, Amit Kajla, Goldy Brar, Lawrence Bishnoi, Sachin (manager of Punjabi singer Mankirat Aulaq) and Jaggu Bhagwanpuria were among those reportedly the target of the attack.
On May 29, hours before the murder, seven suspects can be seen eating breakfast together at the Mansukh Dhaba on Bhikhi Road in Mansa, according to CCTV footage released by the Punjab police. Manpreet Singh Mannu, a Punjabi villagers, and Jagroop Singh Roopa, a Punjabi villagers, have been identified as the two.
With the exception of Goldy Brar, who purportedly claimed responsibility for the crime through a social media post, most of the suspects are from Punjab and Haryana. As part of his revenge for Vicky Middhukhera and Gurlal Brar’s deaths, Brar also said he and the Lawrence Bishnoi group “were behind the murder.”
Goldy Brar, who is currently hiding in Canada, is of Mukstar descent. After his involvement in a murder case, his father was forced to retire as an ASI.
The Davinder Bambiha gang had also claimed that Punjab singer Mankirat Aulaq extorted money from Punjab singers.
An investigation into the Moose Wala case has led the Delhi Police to question jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi on Monday. A Delhi court has rejected Bisnoi’s plea that he apprehended a fake encounter by the Punjab Police, who has been accused of plotting the murder.
The police also questioned gangsters Kala Rana and Kala Jathedi, who are also in police custody. According to Punjab police chief VK Bhawra on Sunday, the murder appeared to be the result of an intergang rivalry between the Lawrence Bishnoi Group and Lucky Patiala Group.
Additionally, the police reported that Bishnoi is actively in touch with his associates, who are allegedly running an extortion racket from inside the jail for years. As part of an MCOCA (Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act) case, Bishnoi was lodged in a Rajasthan jail before being transferred to a Delhi jail. As part of his gang, Bishnoi is accused of numerous murders, attempted murders, extortions, and robberies in Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab and Delhi.
Last month, the Delhi police special cell unit arrested gangster Shahrukh, 28, who reportedly said he intended to kill Moosewala. He was carrying a reward of Rs 2 lakh. His crimes included murder, attempted murder, and extortion. Police are also investigating whether Shahrukh had any contact with Goldy Brar, a gangster based in Canada.
