A level-crossing near the Chaheru railway station on the Ludhiana-Jalandhar section was blocked today, causing four trains to be diverted, six to be cancelled, and one to be rescheduled. Fog and operational issues also caused more than half a dozen long-route trains to run late.

In order to press their demands, activists from the Kisan, Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee sat on the tracks near the Chaheru railway station. In Ludhiana-Jalandhar, they disrupted rail traffic.

Passengers on Jalandhar City-Nakodar-Jalandhar City Passenger, Nakodar-Jalandhar City Passenger, Lohian Khas-Phillaur Passenger, and Phillaur-Lohian Khas Passenger were all cancelled.

It took several trains, including the Amritsar-CST (Mumbai) Dadar Express (3.10 hours), the Howrah-Jammu Tawi Himgiri Express (8.50 hours), the Saharsa-Amritsar Jansadharan Express (5.20 hours), the Amritsar-Jaynagar Saryu-Yamuna Express (1.30 hrs), the Nanded-Amritsar Sachkhand Express (3.40 hours), Jaynagar-Amritsar Saryu-Yamuna Express (9.30 hours) and the CST (Mumbai)-Amritsar Dadar Express (2 hours) were running behind schedule.
