Delhi election: Congress now announces incomplete promises of Punjab in Delhi elections too.

New Delhi, Feb 2 (P2P): The Congress on Sunday vowed the people of Delhi to provide unemployment allowance of Rs 5000 to Rs. 7500 per month under the Yuva Swabhiman Yojna, if party comes into power.

While releasing manifesto of the party here on Sunday, Delhi Congress chief Subhash Chopra said that the party would challenge in Supreme Court, the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), if voted to power.

The party also promised in its manifesto to spend 25 percent budget each year on fighting pollution and improving transport facilities and has promised to provide free electricity up to 300 units per month.

He further said that the party would also open 100 Indira canteens in the city to give subsidized meals at Rs 15. The Congress’ announcements came after its rival parties BJP and AAP also made lucrative promises to secure the votes of Delhites.

It is noteworthy that Congress had promised in its election manifesto the promise of giving unemployment allowance to the unemployed even in the Punjab Vidhan Sabha elections, but could not be implemented even after three years had passed.
