Last night, female Border Security Force troops in the Amritsar sector shot down a drone that had entered Indian territory in an attempt to smuggle drugs.

During the same period, another smuggling attempt was made in Tarn Taran.

As a result of BSF’s women constables shooting down the drone, 3.1 kilograms of drugs were seized in Amritsar, and around 6.6 kilograms of drugs were seized in Tarn Taran.

Near 11 p.m. on November 28, BSF troops in Chaharpur, Amritsar district, heard a drone buzzing from Pakistan. A white polythene bag containing three packets of narcotics was successfully shot down by two BSF constables, Preeti and Bhagya Shree.

As a result, the entire area was cordoned off by the police later. The women constables were later felicitated by Prabhakar Joshi, DIG, BSF (Gurdaspur).

Meanwhile, in Abohar, Pakistani balloons were found in a farmer’s field near the Indo-Pak border in Rajpura Piperan village on Tuesday. Pakistan International Airlines logo and national flag were displayed on the balloon.
