After the second T20I against Ireland, Jadeja apologizes to Sanju Samson for his mistake

The Men in Blue defeated Ireland by four runs to win the series 2-0. They also registered their 5th whitewash this year.

It was a nail-biting thriller with both the teams piling up big totals.

However, Ireland lost the game by 4 runs.

Deepak Hooda and Sanju Samson, the two childhood friends who played together during their U-19 days, stitched a 176-run partnership to take India to 225/7 in 20 overs.

Samson opened the innings in the absence of Ruturaj Gaikwad. The 27-year-old has received a lot of criticism in the past for failing to convert his starts into big scores. Kapil Dev had criticised Sanju for the same.

Meanwhile, in his post-match conversation with former India batter Ajay Jadeja, the latter apologised to Sanju for being harsh on him.

“I’m sad here because I thought you should’ve gotten one too. And I hope you also start feeling that, because all of us are your big fans here, especially Swanny (Graeme Swann) and me. We would like to see you get those big totals when you get in there. Sorry, I’m being a little too harsh because I’m a big fan of your batting.”

Sanju gave a humble reply and said, “Thank you Ajay bhai, it will keep me pushing. I’ll try to score lot more runs in the coming games.”
