After a student allegedly committed suicide in a hostel room here late Tuesday night, a huge protest broke out on the campus of Lovely Professional University.

Kerala resident Agun has been identified as the deceased. The site also contained a suicide note in which only personal reasons were listed as the cause of suicide.

In the last 10 days, protesting students claimed there had been two suicides on the campus. However, the administration has not commented on the issue.

Despite the students’ allegations, the police and civil administration have denied them.

In their protest, they claimed they wanted to know what caused both suicides.

Their claim is that the last suicide was not reported as it was resolved behind closed doors.
In addition to the police, the students also encountered the police, who tried to calm them down.
