Punjab’s Amritsar district was the scene of a drone strike by the Border Security Force on Tuesday, according to officials.

In Amritsar city, around 40 km north of the drone’s entry point, the BSF opened fire on the drone on Monday night.

An unmanned aerial vehicle with six rotors with six rotors that was partially damaged was recovered by the BSF during the search operation. The officials also found a white polythene item underneath it.

Officers are examining the drone’s contents to determine if it contains drugs.

A spokesperson for the BSF said alert troops captured a drone and foiled another smuggling attempt.

A Pakistani drone was also shot down by BSF troops near the international border in Amritsar on November 25.
