Bollywood hasn’t had a good year. Despite the industry not having produced any major box office hits since the pandemic, post-pandemic recovery hopes are dwindling.

Dobaara by Taapsee Pannu joins the list of Bollywood flops of 2022. Although the film received positive reviews, its box office numbers indicate that it didn’t impress fans. Due to the film’s failure to attract audiences, its box office collections have underperformed since its release on August 19. Even on Day 13, the Mirage remake failed to add to its overall box office collection.

Reports indicate that only Rs 6 crore will be raised for the film at its conclusion. Only 370 screens showed the Taapsee Pannu-starrer on August 19. The box office failed to impress despite the excellent reviews Taapsee Pannu’s latest film Dobaaraa received from fans and critics alike. Ever since its release, the film has barely made any money.

ABOUT DOBAARAA

A remake of the 2018 Spanish film Mirage, Dobaaraa is the official remake. Anurag Kashyap directed the mystery drama film starring Taapsee Pannu and Pavail Gulati. A theatrical release was scheduled for August 19, 2022, after it opened the London Indian Film Festival 2022. Critics reviewed the film with mixed opinions.

There is a woman in Dobaaraa who gets the chance to save a 12-year-old boy whose life was saved 25 years ago during a thunderstorm. During a similar storm in the present, she connects through the television set. Gaurav Chatterji and Shor Police composed the film’s music. Hussain Haidry wrote the lyrics. Shor Police composed the background score.
