It’s back to haunt : the mining mafia. A joint mining department and police team was attacked again in Nuh two months after the alleged murder of DSP. Three people machines were taken into custody by the team after acting on a tip-off.
They pelted stones at the cops from hills, injuring him. Five people have been identified as being involved in the attack among fifty people who have been booked.
As a result of a tip-off about mining being conducted in hills of the village, the police and mining department formed a joint team and carried out a raid.
In the mines, three excavation machines were found, while three men fled. These machines have been taken into custody by the police. The entire team was soon pelted with stones.
Cops held onto vehicles while the accused fled.
According to a police spokesperson, an FIR has been filed naming five accused and over 40 unidentified. We are investigating and will identify the accused soon.
SP Nuh Varun Singla visited the site and took a stern stance. As a result, raids and an increase in nakas were ordered by him in order to capture the accused.
“We will not tolerate this. We are trying to uproot illegal mining in the district, which has baffled the mafia, who are resorting to attacks. We will nab them soon,” Singla said.
