India will buy new generation Navy fighter aircraft Rafale from France to strengthen its Navy. France has approved this deal. Rafale maker Dassault Aviation told that India will get 26 Navy Rafale under the deal. India is also buying 3 Scorpene submarines for the Navy from France.

The Defense Ministry had approved proposals to buy 26 Navy versions of Rafale jets from France and three French-designed Scorpene class submarines. In France, PM Modi said, Defense cooperation has been a strong pillar of our close ties. It is a symbol of deep mutual trust between the two countries. France is an important partner in the ‘Make in India’ and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives.
